Li Bai (aka Li Po) is the most famous of Tang dynasty poets. At times flamboyant, endowed with a brilliant mind and a magnetic personality, he had a command of language that few in China has surpassed.  His poems are often pure music, and the best stand out amongst the great literary works of mankind.
