This is one of the most moving images I’ve ever seen. Kenya rhino keeper, Zacharia Mutia embraces Najin, one of the last two norther white rhinos on the planet. The other is Najin’s daughter, Fatu. Both rhinos are cared for 24/7 by devoted keepers like Zacharia. These men spend more time with these endangered animals than they do their own families. The bonds are deep and the keepers have a profound understanding of the temperament and behaviour of these magnificent animals, which are the largest extant species as well as the most social of all rhinoceros species.
