Poem of the Day: ‘Faith’

I thought you were strong
But I see that you have
become ensnared
by the cage of uncertainty.
Fear has seen you become this way.
The names keep ringing;
too many and too close;
Their stories have made you bitter,
uncertain if you can play composure
in the long pain. Why, O why
are the good ones taken first
and only after what seems like
eternity in the storm?
The names are slowly fading,
yours among them.
Rekindle the faith
that was your crutch
or you will not sleep again tonight.
