learn to be a magician
and pull off the grand trick
of making your time on earth
count, adding up to more
than the sum of your days.
Then you will float like a firefly,
bells will chime in your heart.
and twenty hours in a day
will not be enough
to do what you purposed to do,
whether of not your words
or songs are heard,
whether or not the world
looks your way,
How is that for an answer
to that overarching question
that have vexed sages and saints?
