A rainbow is a spectrum of light appearing in the sky caused by the reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets. But only a student of science will love this scientific definition. Poets and artists on the other hand are moved by the aura of a rainbow arc that somehow speaks of abundance, hope and grace. And when one catches a glimpse of a rainbow that bridges sky and earth as in this photo taken in the rolling hills of Montana, the word “divine” naturally comes to mind.
