Recently, I’ve been captivated by the striking contrast of gold glaze on black, such this is abstract egg sculpture I acquired from a ceramicist based in Sweden. I love the way the metallic finish of the gold beautifully complements the earthy texture of the black clay, a combination that adds a touch of sophistication and modernity to traditional pottery.  This standout piece now sits proudly in my studio-cum-gallery among other ceramic works.
