Poem of the Day: ‘Behold’

Behold

The waters of the earth
go round and round,
like there’s no beginning
and no end.
You could say the same
about the forests –
how can one behold
every root and tree?
A heart of love says,
every sliver is gold,
A heart of faith believes
that the Earth is deep,
that everything given is precious,
like the things we
struggle to accumulate,
only more lustrous,
only more giving,
always maintaining
that huge mystery
we think of as divine
.
