MOUNTAIN
Mountains are something.
They are tough;
they last.
They make you feel weak
at their feet. But something
tells you to go up a mountain,
perhaps a small one,
on all fours if you must,
to go the distance
your tensile body allows.
till you lose yourself,
and feel nothing
but the gale force of
your body and a spirit
that’s fearless and unbridled,
like the mountain itself.
